Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet

This is the first Mercedes-Maybach Cabriolet and with only 300 units to be made, it is the “ultimate in open air exclusivity”. Powered by the 6.0-litre twin turbo V12 engine, the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet has a stunning output of 621 hp and a top speed of 155 mph. The Cabriolet packs a tonne of unique touches, such as The Affinity set of two large travel bags made from the same leather as the seats as well as the polished and chrome-plated “1 of 300” lettering which serves to highlight the level of exclusivity.

2018 Audi Q5 CUV
Next up its the 2018 Audi Q5 CUV powered by the 2.0-litre twin turbo four-cylinder engine producing 252 hp and 273 lb/ft of torque. The CUV is capable of doing a 0-60 mph in just 5.9 seconds – a whole 1.1 seconds quicker than the outgoing model. Audi is blessing its 2018 Audi Q5 CUV with Audi Drive Select that comes with five modes (Comfort, Auto, Dynamic, Off-road, and Individual) giving the driver a wide range of performance and handling options.

BMW showed off quite a few vehicles at the auto show including the 740e xDrive, BMW 330e and BMWX5 xDrive40e — all part of the iPerformance family of plug-in hybrids. The BMW 740e xDrive is the flagship hybrid that combines a 2.0-litre TwinPower engine with an electric motor and eight-speed Steptronic transmission for a combined 322 hp, a 14-mile all-electric range and 87 electric mph. It also features a carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) passenger cell for greater torsional strength and lighter weight.

Jaguar showed off its Jaguar i-Pace electric concept with two electric motors pumping out 516 lb/ft of torque and 400 hp. The car is packed with 90 kWh lithium-ion battery said to have a range of 220 miles and a sprint time from 0-60 mph in about four seconds.

MINI has been busy expanding its lineup of cars with three new versions of the Countryman including the MINI Cooper S E Countryman ALL4, which will be powered by both a three-cylinder MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology gasoline engine and an electric hybrid synchronous motor.

Volvo showed off its Volvo V90 Cross Country. The first ever Cross Country model was launched almost 20 years ago and since then it has become known for being a rugged all-road and all-weather vehicle developed in Sweden that is 77 per cent forest and lake covered.

The 2017 VW e-Golf was shown off at the auto show. The car uses a new 35.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and improved electric motor with 134 hp and 214 lb/ft of torque for a 0-60 mph time of 9.6 seconds and a top speed of 93 mph.
