Manchester United is going to face Burnley in today’s Premier League fixture and it is believed that the two sides will be making a lot of changes.
Manchester United will likely be a team without Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo. The two were injured against Anderlecht. The team will also be without Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Juan Mata and that effectively means that the starting XI team could be De Gea; Valencia, Blind, Bailly, Darmian; Fellaini, Herrera; Lingard, Pogba, Martial; Rashford; in 4-2-3-1 formation.
Manchester United is placed fifth in the league while Burnley is placed 14th in the league, eight points clear of the relegation zone. United are coming off one of their most impressive wins of the season last week against Chelsea. Marcus Rashford opened the scoring in the seventh minute and Ander Herrera scored in the 49th minute. United truly dominated the league leaders and should have won by a larger margin. [Check out Premier League Football.]
The injuries would likely take a toll on the Manchester United lineup and Jose Mourinho has said that he would have wanted his top players to be in the match, he will wait it out for them to recover. While Mourinho doesn’t expect miracles from the team he has at his disposal, he says that the players will have to be brave and do everything they can in today’s EPL fixture.
Burnley is also a side that will see major changes as injured Dean Marney is off the books, while Scott Arfield, Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Kevin Long are all doubtful. If we are to pick the starting XI for Burnley, we would have Heaton; Lowton, Mee, Keane, Ward; Boyd, Hendrick, Barton, Brady; Vokes, Barnes; in 4-4-2 formation.
The match will start at 2.15 pm BST. You can watch the match live on on Sky Sports 1 HD from 1.30 pm. If you aren’t in the UK, the best way to watch the match online through live stream through NBC Sports or Fubo.TV.
