Motor X has been rumoured for long now and while it was once believed that the handset has long breathed its last, it turns out that’s not the case as a new render has emerged on the web that hints at an alleged Moto X (2017).
Sparks about Moto X (2017) have gotten new wind giving it the form of flames through a new leak by @OnLeaks and Android Authority wherein render of the alleged smartphone has been shown. The render has been created using factory CADs and according to their source the phone seems to be a love child of the Moto Z and the Moto M phones.
The Moto X (2017) has been shown as having a full-metal body, and a fingerprint scanner on the front. There is no indication of whether the Moto X (2017) will have on-screen navigation keys and whether the home button would serve just the locking and unlocking purposes, as is the norm in most Moto phones these days. On the right are the power button and volume rocket and on the left is the SIM tray. There is no USB Type-C on-board, which is present on Moto Z and the Moto M smartphones.
The phone has a Moto Z-like camera with a visible protrusion on the rear. It appears that it is aided with dualLED flash. The report fails to mention hardware specifics of the alleged Moto X (2017) but says the phone may come with a 5.2-inch screen. Lenovo will likely announce the phone at MWC, as per the report.
The biggest highlight, it would appear from the leak, is that the phone isn’t seen sporting the Moto Z-characteristic magnetic connector pins, which suggests it may not support Moto Mods. Also, the phone is seen carrying a headphone jack at the bottom, unlike the Moto Z which does not include one.
