Avid Overwatch fans have been treated with a new exotic map dubbed ‘Oasis’ giving players a unique brand of objective-based gameplay.
The map was first revealed at Blizzcon 2016 alongside Sombra and a bunch of sweet new details. The map is a sprawling, futuristic city found within the Arabian Desert wherein players will be required to take advantage of jump pads scattered throughout the map in order to capture and defend three separate control points all while avoiding environmental hazards, including heavy traffic.
The map has been pegged as the world’s most advanced cities and has been founded on the basis of human ingenuity and invention by researchers and academics from around the region. Oasis is a city dedicated to scientific progress without restraints, which is governed by the Ministries, a collection of brilliant minds who possess many secrets that have attracted the interest of powerful organizations from around the world.
The shady terrorist cell Talon is no doubt one such organization that’s interested in scoring the technology hidden within the city, https://sugarbowl-2018.com/ whatever it may be.
A preview trailer (embedded above) has also been released by Blizzard to coincide with the launch of the map. The video gives players a sweeping birds-eye view of the new arena and its landmarks, including scores of palm trees, busy highways and an ominous-looking tower punctuating the horizon.
Blizzard has said it will continue to support the game with new heroes, maps and modes in the coming months, so keep an eye out for those.
