Microsoft Surface Book i7 has received an impressive price cut. The flagship 2-in-1 from Microsoft powered by an Intel Core i7 processor, 512 GB internal storage, 16 GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce graphics card is being sold for just $2,100.
The Surface Book has been well received and while the laptop hybrid isn’t for everyone considering the hefty price tag, it is nonetheless impressive for the specifications it packs. Comparable to the MacBook Pro and in some cases even better, the Surface Book is great for designers, game developers and even those top business executives who want a flashy piece of hardware to impress their counterparts!
The price cut has been noticed on Amazon US. The i7 Surface Book with 1TB storage is now available for $2,618 (shipping extra depending on your location). The one powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs $1,431 and this is ideal for almost everyone considering that it features good enough specifications and doesn’t cost as high as the i7 counterparts.
As far as experiences with the Surface Book are concerned, we have found it rather a mixed lot. There are those who have loved the Surface Book and claim that it has become an inseparable part of their work life. Users have even said that it is one of the best alternatives to the MacBook Pro. Those who haven’t had a positive experience claim that they haven’t been able to get what they had paid for. However, it is being said that those with not so great a feedback for the Surface Book are not looking at Microsoft’s product with the right set of eyes.
While the Surface Book has been a great computing device for many, there are a few issues that we will like to point out. One of the most annoying issues that we have people reporting is that the SD card fits only half-way through and so the other half stick out of the chassis. There have been complaints about the keyboard backlighting making it difficult to see some keys during the day. While these two issues aren’t major ones, they have been mentioned quite a few times as being a distraction.
