As promised Telltale has premiered its ‘The Walking Dead: A New Frontier’ at The Game Awards by showing off the trailer as well as revealing that the first two episodes will release on December 20th on all platforms.
The trailer is the first ever look at the game that Telltale offered. As the plot of the game goes, players will take control of series newcomer Javier, a man struggling to keep his family together in the new world, while also playing as Clementine, now a teenage survivor holding secrets of her past while fighting to protect family of her own. The series is now running on the brand new Telltale engine, making this by far the best it has has ever looked.
Telltale had revealed earlier this year that the third new season will serve as both a continuation of what’s come before in the story, as well as an all-new beginning set nearly four years after the outbreak events of Season One.
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier explores beyond what it means to survive in a world ravaged by the undead, and will see the characters confronting the new rules of order and justice in a land being brutally reclaimed and rediscovered by what’s left of humanity itself.
“We witness how the beginning of the zombie plague affected him and his family before we move forward in time to years later, where he encounters a very familiar face…” reads the trailer of the description. Check out the video below:
